The other great citadel of the Inca empire:

CHOQUEQUIRAO 5 Days/4 Nights

1st day:          Picking up from the hotel in Cusco and trip to Cachora.   Beginning the way by Apurimac canyon, walking since the bord until the bottom over the river ( 1600 m - 5248 feet ), where we camp at Rosalinda ( at one hour from Chikisqa ).

2nd Day:         After the breakfast, we leave from the camp and cross the river to visit the archaeological Sayhuite complex for 3 hours.  In fact, we are just in the same canyon, enjoying the view over that and of the condors.    

3rd Day:          Visit of Choquequirao, a very important Inca site and one of the most difficult to raise because is located at the top of a mountain crest over 1700 m - 5576 feet from the bottom and Apurimac canyon river.

This wonderful citadel was one of the last treasures where the son of the greatest Inca ( Pachacutec ), called Topa inca lived.

4th Day:          Archaelogical visit and trek of descent until Rosaspata where we have lunch and with "chicha" of sugar cane ( free time ).  We camp at Chikisqa.

5th Day:          Walk of 6 or 7 horas aproximately until Cachora, lunch, we get water for the way and finally 4 or 5 hours more walking .

Return by Bus to Cusco and visit the hot spring of Cconoc, arriving at Cuzco at 20:00 pm ( accommodation ).

It's recommended sun protection (cream, glasses), comfortable shoes, protection for the cold,

swimming suit, repellent, camera and batteries.

It's recommended to have little change for getting small things.

Transportation, guide, meals, all equippments, mules or horses dor carrying ( not sleeping bag ).
